Furrosious ferreter 499
I decided to make a range board as i had half n hour spare... Ive got 3 airguns to set up 1) hw77 .22 1990 with ritcher 3-12×50 2) hw97 .22 2001 with hawke 4-16×50 3) theoben fenman .20 2007 with hawke10x42 All are zero'd at 30 meters. Is this an adaquate range to be zero'd at for all rifles? FF Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
Nicely done I zero my .22’s in at 30 yards using 13.4gr pellet 1 Quote Link to post
Furrosious ferreter 499
Just reallised that at anything but zero im possibly going to be hitting the other aim points... Oh well will see how it goes and put a pic up... I expect it to look like someones shot it with a shotgun. FF Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,563
I use a piece of wallpaper on some 1/4 ply at 28 yards zero for .22 and 38 yard zero for .177. " On a perfectly still day " ( ish) Good old fashioned ground workers tape or modern range finder for precise ranges. ( I`m not a chair gun fan ) , although the method is excellent, I love old school. Get your first zero, leave your preferred magnification settings alone and work back at 5 yard increments making note of your mill dot to point of impact results through your scope. Works for me and gets me some extremely accurate results ( most times) Good luck, Mark. 5 Quote Link to post

Expand Yes I have but can’t get hold of one at the moment but a British company have started making slugs which works in the stx liner , which is the standard one in the x barrel impacts and crowns I have ordered a tin but at 30p a shot they will not be a plinking pellet Quote Link to post

It would have been better to use a long board vertically, and extend the gap at each distance, but I don't really see an issue as long as you check/mark each gun before moving to the next! A pic after you have checked them all will be good! Edited July 28, 2019 by Deker Quote Link to post
Furrosious ferreter 499
Yeah i did all that and started a new thread... Range board part 2 I managed to get all my hold over points on all guns. Just need a good day to go out and check them. FF Quote Link to post
