bunnyboiler 1,054 Posted July 7, 2019 Report Share Posted July 7, 2019 I’ve been asked to snare a hedge line leading to a football pitch the rabbits are coming from the other side of the road coming through under the hedge a digging up the football pitch now the problem is there’s no beats all I can see is where they are coming through the long grass and weeds under the hedge so I need to snare where they are coming through do I set the snares high or low will they jump through the long stuff or come through low any suggestions welcome atb BB Quote Link to post

micky 3,325 Posted July 9, 2019 Report Share Posted July 9, 2019 In the last picture you catch a Rabbit on that Beat that is slightly Right of centre at 6/1/2 The first picture shows a bit of use and there will be another beat in front of it how ever faint it is, they are more visible early morning find them and press your toe into them so you can see them later [ Snareman ] don't try don't get . 1 Quote Link to post

Set at 7 1/2 would be better In the longer grass about 9-10” rabbits jump higher then people think in long grass. also this time of year you will have young ones hopping about so you might get a few knocked,but even the ones at 7-10 will pick up the half three quarters grown.
