We were lucky with the weather yesterday, just the odd shower. Didn't get to buy anything I wanted though. Mrs w was tempted by the garden ornament of 2 stags fighting made out of driftwood - right up till she saw the price tag of £7K!

Saw the driftwood figures and the metal (mainly horse shoe) figures on another stand, Just what I wanted, but unfortunately a tad to big for my garden...shame. Saw the Aston Martin stand and was tempted by the special edition at just short of £750,000, but then thought what on earth would I do with all the rubbish in my garage, so had to leave it? Did you see the Moorcroft stand?????? Looked at one price tag which read £4,990.00 and left quickly, keeping arms close to my side! No Edgar Bros, No Highland Outdoors, GMK didn't have a Sporter to look at neighter did Sportsman. I have a shortlist of CZ527MTR, Howa Varmint/Archangel, and Tikka Sporter to check out, so a total waste of time. Scope wise was almost as bad, one stand with a few Hawke and then the Rudolph stand (there were a few HIGH end scopes, but not on my shopping list) . Duan on the Rudolph stand was very helpful and keen to sell me a scope, but they are still such and unknown product (to me anyway, although some reviews suggest they are ok) I had to walk. Needed new rods, jags, mops cleaners, etc etc but found the selection VERY limited and prices high! Lots of free Gin (bit of Whisky, Vodka and cider etc., as well) and food samples, but a washout in every respect for what I went for.

Born Hunter 17,809
I thought it was alright. Not blown away but still better than any other imo. I’m not interested in guns really though.
Born Hunter 17,809
I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t find any safari/outfitters. I wonder if it’s too controversial these days?
