Arry 22,691
I thought I introduced them into my garden when I used to collect peeler crabs for bait, I used to cover the crabs with sea weed from the foreshore. They look the same as them sand hoppers under stones on the fore shore and beaches. I had them in the garden for years now, they do not seem to do any harm at all as far as I can see. If you move a plant pot or a stack of logs they are every where. What I have noticed is I have more slow worms, I don't know weather this is connected but sure they would be good food for them. Weather I did introduce them I don't know, but the neighbours moan about them. I'm staying stum about that. Lol Cheers Arry 1 Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,847
Apparently they come from New Zealand, came over in plants and compost. They were living in gravel that was damp. The garden was very shady because of over hanging trees. I recommend getting rid of the gravel around the door and cutting the trees back to remove leaf litter and let the garden dry out. 1 Quote Link to post
