Very pale very thin stalks and gills don't look right. Cheers Arry
South hams hunter 8,921
The first ones from this spot are always shit mate, they where half dry before I picked them. After the next rain I'll go to the same spot and they'll be bright yellow
Arry 21,736
Dryad's Saddle common name Pheasants Wing. Found this big old one would be no good, but then on the opposite side were these young ones. Just took one as they are edible and only classed as fair. Arry 21,736
Out for a mooch stuff just starting, rain this week end and for a few day so next week should start to see some fungi. Chicken of the Woods, but slugs have made a right mess of it. Would have tried this Bolete as there is no turning blue, but full of maggots. Cheers Arry
Arry 21,736
This IMO is "The Rooting Bolete" classed as inedible, the sponge pores under the cap bruise blue almost instantly. When cut turns blue very quickly. Cheers Arry 1
Arry 21,736
Out to see what about. Surprised just how much has come on since last week. Good little haul really, nice few "Chanterelle's" and some a few "Field Mushrooms" a few Boletes. Chanterelle's don't really have gill they are more like ripples and they cut white. Stalks are quite firm to touch. In my opinion this is the "Butter Bolete" supposed to be as good as a "Cep", I'll get my mate to try it Lol. Cheers Arry
Arry 21,736
I'm 99% sure this is "The Miller" but that 1% there is a similar DEADLY mushroom called "The Ivory Funnel" so think I'll pass just not worth it. Cheers Arry
Arry 21,736
This is "Wood Ear" it is edible, but I have never fancied it it looks like jelly. This big old thing is another "Butter Bolete" I think but I left it as its so far gone. Cheers Arry

South hams hunter 8,921
That looks a cracker I went lugging towards you and found a few in the woods on the way down but not 100% what they are

Maybe the "Ivory funnel" deadly. I don't like little white ones with skinny stems, I'd pass on them mate. Does look a good sort of spot for Chanterelles though, there were loads of them coming last Thursday. Cheers Arry
South hams hunter 8,921
I wasn't sure so left em, didn't look for any mate just walked down to my lug spot. Was actually the kids who found em, luckily they know not to touch mushrooms
