I remember a few years back when you had to get your shepherd because of thieves knocking around but I'd of thought a kelpie cross would be a good guard. My beardie cross definitely was and it's the only thing I miss about him. I'd agree with Jigsaw. I've heard of a few shifty ones but mainly crosses. One of mine didn't trust strangers at all but most of mine would happily walk off with anybody if they carried a crook and smelled of sheep dung! My current youngest is a complete tart. 1 1 Quote Link to post

gamerooster 1,179
Mine barks at people if they get to close to where my birds are, only started doing it this week, no doubt he will be a useful dog to have about..... if he doesnt stop ragging my pants or torturing my rabbits and quail Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,899
The little b*****ds had a ball yesterday, I told herself not to give them the new dog cushion, but did she listen.... Nooooo 8 Quote Link to post
Neal 1,873
Think yourself lucky Jigsaw: mine's over eighteen months old now and still rips up every piece of bedding we give the little b*gg*r! We even bought a supposedly bullet proof one but he managed to get the zip off, pulled out the lining and reduced it to confetti. 3 Quote Link to post
Llywelyn the last 31
I bred a litter of Kelpie cross Greyhounds a couple of years ago .. sire was a working kelpie imported .. bit rough with sheep but a decent enough dog , the dam was an open winning greyhound bitch .. litter was all black and ranged from 23 - 27 inches , racy and a good shape . 3 Quote Link to post
