Rolfe 2
I forget where i saw the thead the other day but someone was enquiring about fixing methods for the Kania trap. iIbolt all mine on to a board that i move around my favourite trees as and when required. (see picture) It is smplicity itself to have trees with nails pre-fixed and ready to take the trap and it makes life a whole lot easier when the time comes to re-set the trap because you can lift it down and set it on the floor. TOMO 26,503
thats what i was on about , but use shorter board, so it can get in small akward places, just take the cordless with ya on new jobs , and screw it in place Quote Link to post

Ilike the longer board because i pull a bungy cord across the bottom to hold the whole thing steady. Rolfey. Quote Link to post
TOMO 26,503
heres a set i u may find helpful rolf , i used this last year in a garden and it was very productive. trapping 6 squirrels in 3 days. normaly i would have set the trap the normal way up , at the bottom of the fence, but after watching them running along , i just thought it would work well upside down and it did Quote Link to post

Well if you make them up s shown in the picture, they become virtually invisible when set high up the tree-trunks. do't forget to fix some wire mesh to the underside of the board though. Rolfey. zig zag wanderer 0
They've been like that for a year or so now. Extra momentum on the down stroke? or a barrier to stop others getting in after a kill? Can't really see the need though. Quote Link to post

Well it would have the effect of the bar having a shorter distance to travel when the trap was activated so hence a quicker kill i suppose..........i will check with Kania and get back to you. Rolfe.
