Bosun11 537
I'd go for Beddy cross MM, maybe the sire of those pups and looking at that terrier, it looks of early Scotty/Sky type, so both were possibly obtained in the North East border areas. Though i could be well off the mark... Quote Link to post
Dinosaurs 2,102
Whatever the cross Good pic MM. atb 1 Quote Link to post
vfr400boy 3,455
I’d also guess the terrier in the pic is the sire , good pic 1 Quote Link to post
two crows 3,342
the bigger dog could be a droving type cross, I cant tell the sex of it for definite it looks like it has the remnants of milk as the abdomen looks divided up, the terrier to me as been said looks northern, the traveling people of those early years, were fortunate as moving from one place to another working on farms etc gave them the chance to use useful studs from any region along their route, unlike the locals of these areas, where the various types/strains were developing, in isolation, another great old photo hope this runs on a bit. 1 Quote Link to post
shaaark 10,876
The boy in the cap on the right, and the girl in the white dress, both look to be holding 'possibly' border terrier type pups? Cracking pic again m m 1 Quote Link to post

eastcoast 4,163
Could even be old Airedale type before KC registration when they were developed into a very large Welsh/Lakeland lookalike. The old Airedale would have been a useful mooching dog and a handy guard around camp. Quote Link to post
