Ted Newgent 4,896
Set off Saturday morning 6.30am a fair bit of messing around, loading up baits, used cooking oil and oats. getting barrels prepped, checking cams and making sure we have tow ropes, tie down straps, impactor, sockets and other kit. saturday we set up 4 new bear baiting stands and scouted out possible new deer hunting sites. we started quadding in around midday and got back to camp just after 7pm feasted on marinaded wild boar kebabs and a few cold ones. sunday, up 4.30am to a hard frost. We had 3 bear baits to hit. 2 new ones and one existing ( the one i posted us hauling in the hunting stand) things went fine til we hit the last one and on the way back out i got the 6X6 stuck in the swamp. Mate winch me out. loaded back up and got back to camp 10.30 to head off back home. very successful weekend setting up for next years bear customers and hopefully we get some action at the new deer spots. pics below are of beer baiting stands oats and oil in the barrel beavers as bait in a barrel bear claw marks up a tree bear damage to the hunting stand mate going thru the swamp just before i got stuck new deer hunting spot bear scat black n green lol bear paw marks ( my boot size is 12 ) and in the middle of nowhere the union jack Edited May 27, 2019 by Ted Newgent
