Barleybedlington 8
Hi got myself AA s200 , question I got ,are the cheap £30 striup pumps on eBay any good Quote Link to post
mattwhite 1,993
Im no expert mate but i would just make sure it has at least got a moisture trap. Some models will come with a dry pack but im not sure how necessary it is. Quote Link to post
philpot 4,968
I think Matt has hit the nail on the head because it is vital that a GOOD moisture trap is there otherwise moisture enter the gun.................................rusty rifle quite quickly. Spend the cash and buy a good quality pump or like most of us, an air cylinder, no effort and only a few seconds to do, similar price to a good pump. Phil Quote Link to post

Jonjon79 13,358
That looks like a basic air-ram set up - there's nothing in that diagram about a moisture trap and, if the diagram is accurate, I can't see any provision for fitting one either. There's a good chance that that will eventually put moisture into your rifle. Personally, I'd give it a miss. Quote Link to post
Jonjon79 13,358
To give you some idea, This is a Hills pump with a moisture trap................. 1 Quote Link to post

The one 8,463
Buy a cylinder mate unless you like looking like popeye LOL and the time you will save as well Quote Link to post
philpot 4,968
STR I can only agree with Jon, there doesn't look to be a moisture trap and sorry to say but I would not use it in my guns as the moisture is going to enter the gun. Try and get your money back is my best advice. The Hills pump that Jon has put up is a better quality unit and if you must go this route, that is a far far better plan. Sorry STR Phil 1 Quote Link to post

Sorry STR Phil Thanks Phil, it’s oil in the pressure gauge what’s that for? Cheers. Quote Link to post
philpot 4,968
Pass sorry, I can only tell you the problems that have happened to people and what is written about the pumps, I would never have one to be honest, give me the Air tank every day of the week. Phil Quote Link to post
