Can any one recommend a good silencer for it the one that’s on isnt in the best of condition

You've got what looks to be an original Vortex silencer on there Eddy.

........ Personally, I'd keep it on the rifle - get it refurbed or experiment with different innards if you want.

Yep....in principle that's a good Moderator, unless of course something has gone wrong with it!

I though it was a cheap one but I’ll leave it on it’s really quite it’s just a bit scratched but it doesn’t effect it

 Rub it down and invest in a tin of spray paint if it worries you, but it shows a lived in/used quality!

I keep cleaning my car and my lad always says...…"why, it's a 4x4 it's meant to be dirty!"

It’s a mk1, great tools and easy to service, not like the modern stuff in that regard.
