Yes.and I agree.the Arguement is their only real health benefit is stopping cuts the boxing glove & the head guard combined create more of a surface area & when a punch connects it is said it rattles the brain about much more than without a headguard.even sending some vibrations down the spine. gnasher16 30,583 Posted March 31, 2019 Report Share Posted March 31, 2019 Only in the seniors Bill...the kids still wear them....my theory with headguards has always been that the danger is not that its a bigger target but you tend to get over confident about taking punches,instead of riding every punch you see coming you sometimes allow yourself to get hit knowing it wont have an effect,hence you take more shots. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
