sold some,dog,ferret and bird food? 

Came across a couple pics on another site showing the extent of the problem over there years gone by . Hard to get your head around the numbers .

I've seen rabbits in the numbers in the bottom pic, 30 years ago on a property just outside Warren in Western NSW.I went pig hunting with three staff crosses and spent a week shooting and catching rab

seem them befor....but as you say its mad thinking about them numbers....

there was an early bit of film from usa of a jack rabbit drive...that was on here a few years back as well....I do like seeing them old pics

he and is brother would pay for rabbiting rights ,this was 75 /80 yrs ago ,he told me land was  coverd with coney .

first lurchers I ever see was by his feet ,he lived to run dogs .hes 95yr old now and had a juckel up to few yrs ago .

Old boy that showed me the ropes with terriers used to talk of massive numbers that would sicken man and dog .

Think your right ,the rabbit will never be seen in them numbers again ,

that's what my uncul says"they was like waves"on the fields .

he says when he was a boy you didn't need a dog ,just drop the nets and walk them in or drag line .

im lucky to get a couple round my way ,and the dogs do some to get a couple .

They was always rabbits about round here ,always good places to start youngsters ,not any more .

more badgers than rabbits ,they dug into most rabbit places .one farm I go to  as brock in every hedge .
