Guest MyDogsAGuire Posted January 4, 2008 Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 For lads solely into foxes I dont know if thats possible, I doubt it but maybe and it would have to b driving fields and out almost every night couple that with a VERY VERY good dog you might have some chance but mark you have openly stated on here that you are a rabbit man with rabbit dogs no bigger that 21 inches, So IMO I dont think it would be possible. And no matter how good the dog was at its job it would still be covered in marks if it did that amount in a season.... Just my opinion Quote Link to post

Guest markbrick1 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Share Posted January 5, 2008 86 foxes in a season with a single dog is very good going by anyones standards.....what does that work out at 2 or 3 a week throughout the season ?i cant say i've ever done that with a single dog....but i never kept records so who knows.... i expect good numbers to be taken the way i lamp...because the odds are always in my favour....providing the dog wants them as much as i do... i have said before that we have a lot of foxes down here,now this perticular dog is an outstandind animal rarely being bitten and only once in his carreer being kenneled up due to fox bites and that was when another dog was slipped with him,he works alone usually i know a lot doubt what ive said but thats there choice and we dont run him out of vehicles we walk 90% of the time,he usually runs into the fox and if he cant get a throat hold he goes for the tail swinging around until he gets his chance then were there and its humanly dipatched,mark Quote Link to post
