secretagentmole 1,701
Milek on the AGF posted this, thought I would spread the word for those who are either tighter than a fish's asshole or in the unfortunate position of not being able to afford an arm and a leg. £18.50 chrono Now it has an unusual clamp system, you don't have to use it, but my suggestion would be foam on the inside of the clamp. Handles a 40 shot string, reads in metric units, will handle speeds up to 500 metres a second, so can be used on FAC. Less than a pub dinner! Before all the skan snobs start sneering, check where your phone, tablet, tv, gaming console, digibox etc etc were made, weren't Peterborough thats for sure.... 5 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Just had it delivered! Well whoo! This is interesting. Will do some pics and post up my test results later! 2 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Got it onto charge. They only ship a Chinese manual with it, but thoughtfully someone has used a camera and a translator, so here are some instructions. Please not I did not get the translation done! So at least you know what it is doing now! Build quality? Actually very good, but, how can I put this nicely? Very Chinese. For example the charging is done by a supplied USB lead. But it is not a USB data and power lead, just a charging lead. So no getting the results off of this then, you just have to read the display! It feels sturdily built, no sharp edges, small metal clamp for putting onto a barrel or a U bolt for shroud/silencer work. You could just put it on a block and shoot through it if you wanted too, so can be used with pistols. 1 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Weird USB, no data from this one. Under the unit, shroud bolt in place. Top of the unit, no sharp edges, nicely finished. Clamp for working off of barrels. On shrouded barrel with optional Plenty (not supplied) paper towelling protecting paint finish on shroud. The two horizontal red lights means it is waiting for a shot to be fired. In out of the box state it will record the shot, then display the result for 5 seconds, then will display waiting lines again. Accuracy, within a ft per second of my Combro, which I know is accurate. Please note it only records speeds in metres per second. The Joule calculator is not good enough for airgun use (you cannot enter 100ths of a gram, only tenths). I am using a spreadsheet to get from metres per second to ft lb! Quote Link to post
