Well lads i sent my FWB Sport 124 off to Lyn Lewington ( Old Venom stable gun smith) for a little fettle and a V-Mach engine .

This lovely old scope that Tom Burrows gave me ( thanks Tom) will be replaced with a Genesis Ultra Light bought from Rez.

Rez`s scope needed a proper rifle under it you see.

Midweek photos to come when she lands :good:

                                                                 atb  Mark.

P.S.  :signthankspin:  to Jamie, ( Mole Trapper) for the help and advice, very much appreciated. :good:

It will be interesting to see if it turns out to be worthwhile investing money in old scrap airguns Mark. Hope it doesn’t fall apart under the stress???

Joking aside Jim there`s a lot to be said in that statement.

I`m sure you have picked up on my soft point for the old FWB`s and my growing up with one (127).

The ex Venom gunsmith was having a chat with me about the new HW 35`s being a very well tested design of air rifle and said that a new 35 with a V Glide was a beauty of a rifle to own.

He also stated that the Walther rifles were built on a lot of Venom ideas but the triggers were crap, as i found out. :icon_redface:

As you know Mark, I think the sports a great rifles, even today. I’m sure it will be a delight to use?.  As for the hw35’s, I’d think they would be nice to shoot at a tuned 11.5 ish especially in .22 as in standard tune a new spring alone took a friends to 14ft lb, so tuning and running them sub 12 should be a super smooth understressed action.
