LuckOrJudgement 437
Had this fenn 6 set in an attic where squirrels appear to have had the run of the place for years. The trigger plate was smeared with peanut butter. When I returned a couple of days later the trigger plate had been neatly piled with old walnut shells and the peanut butter had disappeared. Has anyone seen the like of it before? Quote Link to post

DIDO.1 22,844
Wood mice hoard stuff like that. Do you get squirrels caught cleanly set like that or was there a tunnel over it? Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 496
This is why I like to use trail cameras. You can see what is, and isn't, going on. Quote Link to post

I usually do mate but I was so convinced that this was squirrel heaven I didn't bother. Just goes to show about assumptions being the mother of all feck ups. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Very likely mice, but there should be droppings around somewhere, a torch will help find them even in that mess! Quote Link to post

stormyboy 1,352
Agree, but with a kania, if the peanut butter goes without setting the trap off, it's definitely mice. 1 Quote Link to post
