Italian Hospitality is unbelievable, we have been friends for 25 years as he stayed with us as a student.. My kids have now learnt to ski with his uncle and the whole family have cooked for us....it's been 21 years since I was last here....what a place! Cured meat, cheese, cheese balls, traditional pasta dish called Pizzoccheri, steak with potatoes, ice cream made with Braulio (a drink made in Bormio to help digestion), red wine, beer a whisky after...... he would not take a penny...found it offensive that we tried!! 16 years ago he was a fairly young man from a small village in the alps, he stayed with us for 4 weeks, I took him to football, out with the lads, for steaks and up to the moors etc...he said tonight that he loved his time with us...ours is an open invite for good.... these are proper people... 6 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
