Str 793
I’ve noticed that whoever’s name in the terrier world is mentioned on here it’s not long until folks start slagging them ,be it they have done no work, the dogs they have are stolen there books are are shite etc,so who is up there who do you rate? Ps you can’t nominate yourself. 2 Quote Link to post

rob284 1,682
Anyone famous, is famous or in a book because they’ve strived to be and want attention Like what’s been said, anyone who keeps a family of dogs and works them to a high standard without making money out of it deserves respect. 1 Quote Link to post
Rabbit Hunter 6,613
I disagree on that Rob, would you rather there was no books? I would say the books I read about the older boys when I first started really gave me something to aim for, it’s also nice to read about old dogs and history to be down in black and white rather than lost. 6 Quote Link to post

Rabbit Hunter 6,613
In regard to your post further back I wouldn’t say that’s true STR, there’s plenty of present terrier lads that could be named but some might not want their name mentioned on here. Looking in books when I was younger I always admired the dogs of Bill Brightmore and Ken Gould, also Harcombe’s dogs always looked well and he seemed to talk sensible and down to earth. Obviously there’s others that will say bad about the men mentioned but they’re the ones I looked up to when I began. 1 Quote Link to post
