sureshot 0
Me and my ferreting virgin freind (keen shooter) met up at 9.30 this morning to head to a farm that we normally shoot on,but recently the farmer has been having problems with rabbits in a big way....so we arrived at the farm at 10.00am got netted up by 10.15am enterd a young albhino jill and within 5 mins had 2 beautifull young rabbits,we gave it 30 more miniutes and no more action so we packed up and decided to go do a hedgerow 6 holes, in went the young polecat jill but nothing bolted, we then decided to give a little wood a look at, when ever we shoot thier, there are hudreds of the buggers, but what is the chance today theirs none? we enterd a youg albhino hob into this large warren took 10mins to net up we waited an hour but no luck and as the light was fading we decided to get him out but he layed up in the depest part of the warren 8ft! so thier was a nice dig ahead of us,got him out a hour later, not many rabbits but overall a fantastic day got my mate into ferreting so thier is another field sport we can enjoy ripping the s*** out of each other ferretings mine but when it comes to shooting thiers a different story Edited January 2, 2008 by sureshot Quote Link to post
stubby 175
sounds like you had some fun, but why do you only enter single ferrets, have always found it best to enter 2's and 3's to get the bunnies panicking and bolting, rather than just out running a single fert within the warren Quote Link to post
