PS...Dont bother asking what line as im not going there! Quote Link to post
alimac 882
i prefer to see the parents work with my own eyes....but i would take someones word for it aslong as it was a genuine friend who i trust and as the same sort of standards as me...proven lines just seem to give that extra bit of hope...and to be honest hope is all we can do when picking pups.....imo it's always a gamble...and the higher standard you expect....the bigger the odds are...... just intrested in what your standerds are lucky pretty simple really.....read my signature ....now lets here yours ??? no one is saying you dont catch alot, but surely when a car and a dog are doubled up means the dog is not single handed....imo opinion this dont show a true single handed dog.... bullcross1 10
well a carnt see the problem in doubleing dogs up, a bet there is a few people who do it who are keeping quiet on this one. Am with game dogs on this one a take me 2 dogs out together on the lamp and a lot of the time im on me own, so both dogs get slipped together on everything i may only lamp a hand full of foxes a night and the ones that you can actually get close to is less still, me dogs taken them single and doubled so what who cares. I would be intrested to hear your catch ratio lucky on an average night running your bull crosses single cause av seen decent pacy dogs get twisted and turned of many foxes and it still gets away. Or maybe my dogs are just shit Quote Link to post

workindogz 0
for me single handed is when you go hunting with one dog and it nails the intended target over a period of cpl of seasons not even another dog on leash as it gives confidents, 1 man and his dog! Quote Link to post

Because a car is involved that doesn't class the dog as been doubled up! If the dog is running solo, then catches and kills then the dog is 'single handed', the car is used to get close enough to the quarry, then its upto the dog, With the land lucky will lamp it is almost impossible to get close to the quarry in the middle of crop fields by foot, they soon realise your there and dissapear before you even get close, Quote Link to post
redrob... 0
the reason i went for a bullx was the head size, broader muzzle, i bred my bitch out of a hancock bitch that was very good to fox , but her down fall was muzzle, she was 25 tts, the bitch i have now is 21 tts and is as good as they come, previously i had a hancock dog half x and he was 25 tts and he was as good as they come, he wouldnt touch munty at all, but would mark to ground ect, hunt up cover, single handed means single handed, and not doubled up, and as for names ect i dont even no the breeding of the stud dog, but what i do no is that 3 of the litter that i no of all work single handed, Quote Link to post
