lucky 578 Posted January 2, 2008 Report Share Posted January 2, 2008 i prefer to see the parents work with my own eyes....but i would take someones word for it aslong as it was a genuine friend who i trust and as the same sort of standards as me... proven lines just seem to give that extra bit of hope...and to be honest hope is all we can do when picking pups.....imo it's always a gamble...and the higher standard you expect....the bigger the odds are...... My second was a pressie, yet again i have no idea about the lines, and she is probably not from any known lines anyway. But i know the man who bred her does not keep crap. Guest game dogs uk Posted January 7, 2008 Report Share Posted January 7, 2008 "GAMEDOGS" you come accross like you disbelieve that some people work there dogs single handed....a rariety in some areas i know...but not everyone prefers to double up either... im not under any belife mate i have seen singlehand dogs and owned them doubled dogs owned them!lucky you should no im not been serious but i did say in a post what you did when pople was on about your single hand dogs i would have a night out to see them myself has your only a stone throw away that is all :thumbs:the last season i was out i only had this halfx to run he was doing well till later season then things started getting harder for him hes only 24 inch tts and heavy,i know he cant catch them all i would be the first to admit it,so i bought in a nice racey bullx bitch to run with him they would catch them between themselfes the bitch useally always first to pull them he killed them thats it thats how i did it, sometimes for the hassle it was worth i just used to go on my own and two dogs become easier for the job at hand especially when im lamping driveing slipping etc!so i wouldnt say yours arent single and i wouldnt say i havnt been with any singlehanded dogs i have mate!i just wanted to see yours work?and yes molly back to the subject would seem a good idea lol!lucky you have a pm nice looking dog molly Quote Link to post
