Torquemada 288
Well for some reason the HSE has seen fit to approve warfarin for use on squirrels again. I really don't understand, squirrels are easy enough to catch why on earth is it needed??!! And I should add the only time I've ever seen warfarin used on squirrels in the past is by useless lazy fat c**t pest controllers who have no idea how to trap anything. Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,847
I'm not fat, or lazy.....but I have got a pain in the arse squirrel that's got a date with a pile of grain Quote Link to post
Torquemada 288
Well I meant no offence mate, but if you're able to get the squirrel to take the bait, any bait, then you should be able to put a trap around that bait in order to catch it. Just my opinion. 1 Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,847
Yes definitely. And once I would of caught it one way or another no problem. I'm just so busy now I don't or can't put the same effort into certain jobs. I often work out of area simply because I have to honour certain working relationships with certain companies, this can lead to driving long distances and always rushing, and a certain amount of lack of attention to detail. I am trying to change this though 1 Quote Link to post
LuckOrJudgement 437
I'd be interested to see the label. I've never used it, but I can understand Forestry wanting it - if it's licensed for outdoors? Quote Link to post

That's great - until a valued local customer recommends you to their friend who lives on the wrong side of a distant town - completely effing your routine. Keep it close and keep it simple - that's my motto. Quote Link to post
Torquemada 288
Indoors only. Totally pointless! Quote Link to post
LuckOrJudgement 437
Unbelievable. KG and the like are happy to tout the CRRU - and then allow people to needlessly leave piles of this in attics etc. I don't get it. 1 Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
It must be at least 12 years ago I last used warfarin for squirrels, live traps or Kanias are my main control these days with the odd few shot. Traps can be a pain but client input can help! Quote Link to post

Torquemada 288
I think mostly its use-by the big nationals by people who don't have the skills or time to trap. That's the only way I can think that it's going to ever be used because let's face it goes if you know what you're about trapping squirrels is a piece of piss. Quote Link to post
DIDO.1 22,847
Do the big companies use it as standard? Quote Link to post
Torquemada 288
I don't know. Quote Link to post
