Chopper22 10
Been working away at catching rats at a horse stables. There's one in a shed it's a tricky little shit. Tried few tactics but it ain't a dumb as. Watch it on the trail cam every night. Seems to just show slight interest in it but never enough to go in. Any suggestion on a new tactic every other ones been had with peanut butter mix with bit a chip fat. Quote Link to post

walshie 2,804
Not sure rats are smart, more neophobic - they are very suspicious of anything new. It should get used to it sooner or later. Have you tried nutella or a bit of bacon? Quote Link to post
Chopper22 10
Yea some one else mentioned bacon to me a while back might do that at dark and see if that gets it in. Frustrating it's the only one in that she'd aswell 2 cams in and always just the one .hopefully get it 1 Quote Link to post
Chaff 3,622
Probably best stick with what they already eating rather than introduce something new. Quote Link to post
Chopper22 10
This rats snubbed it for days. Just back from there the now. Still playing smart arse haha. Bacon is going to get a try Quote Link to post
The one 8,495
Aye takes a while to get them used to anything new , as said bacon or melt chocolate onto the trap trigger but peanut butters a good fall back bait Quote Link to post
LuckOrJudgement 437
You'll get it in the end. It won't resist forever. Quote Link to post
