Magnum rat trap

This 110trap is bigger than i expected will be trying it out this weekend on the rat runs at work. Keep u informed. Been hunting and trapping for 55years. If trap does well I might change my mind on how safe it is to use. Or is it me being to safety conscientious..

Brian , if you are frightened  by a trap you should never use it , just find something that you are more comfortable with and use that .

As above, you should try posting your questions in the snaring and trapping section rather than the new member introductions. You should get more answers there rather than just hellos and welcomes from the usual people.

The only way to get confidant with any trap is to use it, there one of the easiest traps to catch with once you get used to settings them.any trap can be dangerous but at the end of the day it's only 110.

There a good trap as once you have set it , its no going to touch you if you keep your hand above it  unlike a fenn when you trip it , they seem to jump up at your hand

I mentioned on another thread, I rarely find the need for them these days, seems I use other traps more frequently, to the extent I have to stop and think how to set them on the rare occasions I get them out.

As for dangerous, never seen them that way, I have a healthy respect for the Kania though!

Why not try the BMI magnum 55 instead if the 110 is too big for what you want? It's easier to handle and you're only after rats

There is a Spanish bloke on here I think and he is trying to get a start in the market , what is wrong with the 110  ?? If I was trapping Rats I would go with  2, 1/2 RBG  And keep it to myself.
