Xjrferret 29
flynndog 540 Replied: January 21 90 quid it'll break for more than that in parts export barrel sought after I'm going to take in the morning about 10:30 could sort it then I paid 70 pounds in the end but their was never any mention of a bent barrel . I got it to restore for my lad as his first rifle . The worst thing is all the metalwork has been rubbed down and sent off for re-bluing . Quote Link to post
Xjrferret 29
Bigmac did you see the rifle I'm hoping it's not bent. Before i sent it off I put a new seal in and the power was up to just over 9 I fired at my garden range and hit the cans so I'm hoping it's ok Quote Link to post

Xjrferret 29
Thanks for that I'm not giving up on the old barrel when i get it back I can check it with a scope on . Flynndog said he had sorted the trigger but spring was missing so he might be wrong about the barrel as well. Quote Link to post

Xjrferret 29
I know 70 pounds isn't a lot of money but It's the dishonesty of not letting me know . I have tried to message him but no response yet and he was logged in at 3 am this morning so he will have seen my message. Edited February 1, 2019 by Xjrferret Quote Link to post

walshie 2,804
Perhaps flynndog hasn't read this thread. We need to give him a chance to put his side of the story across. I'd like to think it's crossed wires rather than an out and out con. @flynndog ? Quote Link to post

I wasn't going to start straight away but I had a bit of spare time so the trigger has been rebuilt and is nice and smooth. The stock was stripped and has had it's first stain and the action is ready for bluing. What would it cost for me to take that bike off your hands? 1 Quote Link to post

Not knowng it was bent I sent it to be re-blued so now I'm 45 pounds down for another barrel Quote Link to post
