jiggy 3,209
They are like the electric squawkers with 10 bird noises that companies fit on buildings at probably a grand a pop to supply and fit. Work for a few days until pest controller gets his cheque. Seagulls and crows ain't stupid. Grey crows know the distance a shotgun ranges and will circle by at 90 yards laughing. They know the difference between somebody with a gun or no gun too. That's why they can live for 20 year.
jiggy 3,209
I often wondered with live cage trapped rats do they communicate. Easy catch the first one but if it's left there long the others don't seem to take. The snap type kill traps could take a dozen in same spot. I reckon they grass you up.

Alls animals communicate in some way or another. When I was a lad my old girl had a dove cot at the bottom of the garden and of a night the rats use to sit out and eat the spare seed off the floor. I use to shoot 1 with the air riffle and the others would run the garden fence for home. Between there home and the dove feed we use to chuck the grass cuttings in a pile so I set a trap in there so I would kill1 with the pellet gun and have a 2nd in the trap. It didn’t take long for them to start running round the trap so they soon cottoned on.

jiggy 3,209
I often wondered about farmers hanging dead crows out of stakes to scare the rest away. Then the local pigeon / crow shooter stacks a sh1t load of them in a horse shoe shape to draw them in.
Jackknife 824
Crows can't count more than two, if 3 men approach its nest it leaves watching from a distance if two men leave and one stays hidden with a gun, it will return to be shot
The one 8,504
They use them at a local veg farm and they dont work but dont want you shooting the pigeons or crows as there would be hell to pay if a customer got a bit shot in there veg
