330 is becoming quite common with both gfast and fftp

The fastest speed that I have seen advertised is 362mbps by  virgin  but it isn't available in this area and I am in Kent so not the wilds.

To some extent, though, are you not governed by how fast your device can process the information it receives ?

This is very true.

However when i looked into my package earlier it says speeds up to 24Mbps,

Understand the words...... UP TO !! Not you will get 24mbps

It perhaps is not the top speed that you can get. It's what you have got in the package. Such as free calls to landlines and mobiles.  Caller display, call waiting and no nuisance calls ect, ect. And if things go wrong what the customer care back up like. It isn't a lot of good if you are tryng to deal with someone that you cant understand a word of what they say such as glaswegian or geordi, ( yòu know; those of foreign origin ). ?  Speed is ok but it depends a lot on the computer systems capability that you have got and what you are trying to access. We used to get about 6 on bt but I dont see a massive difference now that I am getting about 70+. But I'm not downloading films.
