they look excellent what type of wood are they made out of the bottom one looks like maple

bottom one is rippled french walnut,a few of the above ones are tiger/curly maple

Exquisite mate. Where in hells name did you get that piece of burr from? is it burr walnut? As you obviously like maple, have a look round for some quilt maple, its by far the prettiest of them all. Here,s a link.

WOW!! You should start a buisness and make them as a carrier. You could make a fortune. However i suppse each one takes so much time to create, you would have a huge back log and not much spare time. They are beutifull though.

thanks for the link,yes it is american black burr,can get more,but expensive..
