sandymere I know we wont understand the dogs names etc, but how do they work out the breeding on paper, are they like pedigree papers showing champs etc.

To compete they have to be registered with breeding registered similar to greyhounds over here.

just had a look at that obviously all double dutch lol, do lads run lurcher type ones over there like us then,

Plenty of unregistered dogs and very popular with the Spanish gypsies as well, so yes similar to here. Many families have their own lines for their own sport, Galgo to Galgos for centuries but slightly different to their own areas depending on the local terrain. The registered have become more level. The pup is sired by a coursing stud to a bitch of the house, ie a working strain. They wanted to add a little more pace to the family line so used one of their coursing studs.

Good mix of speed and stamina, nice size for general work, gentle laid back temp, bred to course for many generations so reasonable chance of getting what you're looking for ie level type, robust with good feet, good heat risistance, easily imported from Europe so no quarantine.

I could go on?

don't know weather there better or not, they certainly been around longer, but that means nothing, look at all the terrier breeds in this country all bred by working men to do a job, and they will of used the best dogs to best bitches, and their names to describe how they were bred as I am sure the arrab's did with saluki's.

Wouldn’t trust them cnts to tell the time lol  hookey cnts wouldn’t trust them Arabs to tell ya night from day
