The one 8,533
I had a mate well a lad that asked to be taken out ferreting then he enjoyed it got a few ferrets , then got a shotgun to shot the rabbits and started game shooting , then next thing got a big rifle to go foxing and deer stalking . This lad had problems from the start with depression when you used to go for him in the morning he was never up and his wife always let us in gave us a cuppa while he got fed and took his tablets , he used to rattle Quote Link to post

j j m 6,591
i thought once you were in a better place and had recovered and moved on you would be pk ,but I can see it from the other flip of the coin,it could happen again and this time your in charge of a fire arm if you do flip and decide to hurt some one not that my mate is like that, but the mind is a funny thing Quote Link to post
Jonjon79 13,358
Tell him not to take it too personally Jeff - the copper making the decision won't know him so, he just has to run the numbers - mental issues are still very difficult for most doctors to understand and work out. ............. Look at it this way - would any of us give a rifle to a stranger that has history? I hope he enjoys his shooting mate (albeit restricted,) and, at some point in the future, it'll be nice if he gets granted his license 1 Quote Link to post
