Probably true. Many good dogs out there but do they have to run hares. Probably the best saluki crosses out there would catch 3 out of 3 but wouldn't entertain a fox. Depends on the landscape and legality in whichever country. I run foxes and most less than 300 yards in small fields. Doesn't mean I wouldn't like watching a saluki do what it does but I couldn't justify keeping one.

Seen somedogs kill fives on hares infact more than that and some of the dogs ive seen killing them are barely average. Ive seen double figures of hares get run in a day. Not allways dead of winter but theres loads of them on some spots i go to.for me a greatdog would have to not just have the heartbto go into anything but would have to be able to run and run well.
