If you are a total novice give NOBS a try, I don't hold much sway with doing their course etc but they could point you in the right ditection, also give BASC a shout, their Young Shots membership may be an option and should help you make that first step.

 

Other than that, keep asking in here, I'm sure someone will help.

Constructive....Actually there are a few weeks left, but even so there is nothing stopping his getting in toutch with NOBS or BASC and having a look around so see what will come of it. Many organisations run open days etc for novices to the sport as well as younger shots throughout the year.

 

You give it a go Birchill, an help just PM me.

in fact the next few weeks are your best opportunity. The end of the season is when the 'keepers days' take place when many of the beaters get to shoot. Sometimes they take it in turns to walk and shoot but an extra body is always useful at these times. thats how i got in.

I agree with you on that that`s what a few lad`s did that i know easy and they need people who can beat and interested in the country persuits.

look at www.pubs.myfunforum.org its totally free and you dont even need to register as a member to use it, new but growing

I got into it through NOBS so did 7 other lads on the shoot!

 

best thing to do is sign up for NOBs (and PuBS) and contact your regional officer on the forum with a PM, bet he/she has got a fair bit in your area going for the next 4 sats.
