Yes he knows what he's talking about the statement made by alot of people the deer in the rut are at there best bla bla is not true as big Ron said it's at the start and a bit before

My comments was more a question then a statement or at least that was how it was ment anyway

This lad was owned by a very good mate saw him take a good number of fallow

Saw a good few of this cross on deer, once they have a hold of them there not letting go ,this bitch was the same cross and she put a few away pre ban

The fastest of lurchers will be straight lined by a fallow at some point in their career if they run enough of them.

I don't know all that much about it to be honest and don't pretend to but from what I know they arnt fighting all day they may have a few ruts in a day or none. The people who go round in there jeeps driving them half way round the world so there knackered arnt real hunters and you'll find alot on here do not agree with that

A long time ago,we did what we had too... to get them in the bag...quicker they were caught and silenced ,the better in my experience.....meat on the table?or watch them run away into the distance?never been one for driving around alnight 'exercising 'stuff lol, went out for results ....by any means necessary ?

Yeah I suppose in that day going for meat for the table you'd use anything to advantage yourself never done deer started lamping and hunting after the ban. Been in court for 3 years over hunting learnt my lesson me and my dog are all about the rabbits

IMO they should be left alone during the rut.  Shot 2 rabbits shagging years ago, felt guilty ever since ?
