This lad was owned by a very good mate saw him take a good number of fallow

Saw a good few of this cross on deer, once they have a hold of them there not letting go ,this bitch was the same cross and she put a few away pre ban

The fastest of lurchers will be straight lined by a fallow at some point in their career if they run enough of them.

Coursed by a roe buck in her youth no interest until three doubled up, then arse ending from then on. Why would anyone try to breed deer dogs from that? ?  There is no guarantee breeding from tried and tested parents never mind breeding from a cull.

Breeding from shit to keep a pup back is half the reason there is so much rubbish about on the merry go round!

Sounds like a minshaw that or one a them razor minshaws shite.atb bill

Talk ?

Would you rather I used the term 'converse, text speak, text chat' etc?

Far simpler, for most people to understand, if I just write talk.  After all, all of us on here are still 'talking' to each other  ?

If a dogs good on deer hes good on them they have the knack

That's it lots of x's would take deer but just because they have the breeding dosnt mean they will do it some dogs do some don't if they have the knack then they've got it if not then unlucky

I always used to favour a dog 25" or above 30+ years ago, moved 350 miles and found that was overkill on roe, pre ban of course

Cheers, D.

To many lads get hung up on height, a bit extra height can add a bit more pace which is not necessarily needed IMO a dog has to be fast enough yes but that's only one piece of the puzzle, if speed was all that's needed we would all be running greyhounds.
