Pirate 9000 676
To consider setting your self up in pest control with out ever working in the industry would be some mountain to climb, nothing wrong with doing a bit of mole trapping at weekends but still having your main wage to live on,and build from there, there is not many lads who can make a living catching moles 12 months of the year. True, but given time it can develop into a very useful 2nd income, as long as you keep it local, or find a free source of diesel.... The thing is to stick with it and not give up when the phone goes quiet. I have many customers who tell me they used to use so and so "but he doesn't do it anymore". Once your name gets out there, leave it out there. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
My business is pretty specialist as I concentrate on shooting work, and I get lots of work from other pest control companies who advertise everything but don't really get involved with shooting. Just the same I still have to rely on the other elements of Pest Control to make a living. Paperwork, courses, qualifications and in particular R.A.M.S. are a pain, and don't expect to make much of a living working for anyone else! Quote Link to post
