taffey 1,315
Mates just bought a hw 97kt air rifle springer not pcp got a rabbit job to do at an airport wit ferrets lurchers etc said we can go round boundaries wit air rifle what would you lads rate as best pellets for that make of gun its 2.2 any advice greatfully received Atb taffey be only shooting hopefully 15-20 yards Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,551
Hi Taffy, I own and hunt regularly with the HW 97 KT but she is .177, - what rifles these are For any lads with .177 HW 97 KT`s use JSB Exact Express 7.87 g, 4.52 zero to 38 yds. At a guess Taffy if there is a .22 Exact Express try them first in a 97. Now i would suggest setting your .22 zero at 27 yds dead, this will give you no hold under required and keep your pellet within a 1 inch kill zone from 8yds to 31 yds, just what you are looking for. Good hunting lads, Mark. 1 Quote Link to post

villaman 9,983
A few to try AA fields , H&N ftt , But in mine I use Falcon accuracy plus 13.4 gr these fly flatter and faster and zeroed in 30 yards and on 6x mag shoot from 8 -36 yard with no hold over or under Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Flight and terminal performance is key. Some decent pellets suggested, but you need to find which works best for you. 1 Quote Link to post

philpot 4,982
Not in a springer but in a couple of .22 PCP rifles I have had really good results with JSB exact Jumbo RS. Falcon Accuracy Plus have been tricky to get hold of locally but the JSB's are easier to get. I think I am right in saying these are basically AA Field Express pellets but cheaper as Express in my area are bloody pricey. https://voymir.com/jsb-22/191-jsb-exact-jumbo-rs-airgun-pellets-cal-22-552mm-500-pcs-5906554324010.html Phil Quote Link to post

Jonjon79 13,358
For an airport job, you're probably talking long ranges - either use the ferrets and nets or, expect a lot of f***ing about for not much return. .............. That'll generally be FAC territory. What else do you know about the job? 1 Quote Link to post
