juckler123 707
Onions now theres food for thought one of the best trainers in my area Joe Booth a man who had a derby winner or two swore by a tiny bit of spanish onion in their food a couple of times or more a week he said it helped the track dogs and said fed properly it had benefits to the blood its right it causes anemia if fed a lot but a little thinner blood would flow quicker maybe theres something in that. Garlic is well good for dogs keeps the worms and fleas away mine get a clove twice a week and capsules every other day. Ive tried carcass feeding lamb chests still borns etc as they were free of charge but i think meat carbs and fish is a much better option mine never looked right on it best diet i ever had was doing the knacker job the dogs were getting fillet rump and sirloin quality makes a big difference in performance i sold quality meat and every trainer and lurcher owner said how much the dogs had improved when you can see a difference like that its a no contest. Guest Frank
FRANK why dont you feed egg white? Was told, by a greyhound man, it takes out the goodnes off the food. Personally, i think, if you find a good balanced deit for your runner, that benifits it the right way, then stick to it. If they look fine on it and are not having any ill effects, dont be listening to others about whats best ect, its one of the down fauls of many dog men, choping and changing everytime one of them tells you whats best to feed ect. Bit like that harry Enfeild character, ''you dont wana do it like that, nooo, you wana do it like this!!!!!'' Quote Link to post

Times are not that hard. Quote Link to post

Guest markbrick1
i cant beleave what i read when it comes to feeding dogs, the human body is f****d cause we listen to all the experts on what we should and shouldnt eat, obesity is at high time high cause of the experts and the food sellers, whats wrong with what the lurcher catches,i never bought ferret food and i mean never its rabbit only for them critters,i havnt bought dog food for 5 months they also live on rabbit liver kidney heart grass and nettles why my dogs eat nettles i dont know, but iam sure someone is going to tell me all morning ive been skinning and boiling 2 nights catches approx 70 rabbits, mark Quote Link to post
