Nice little river

Had a walk with kids and just happened to spot a couple of salmon in a little river about 10/12foot wide looked it up and it's a free stretch that's supposed to hold good numbers of grayling and trout too .... feel an afternoon fishing coming on Sat if I get chance

That sounds good, the work the EA are doing with the fish passes is great. I suspect iv seen salmon jumping wiers a few times this year too on the Aire. 

We are doing the same with our own river and working with the wild trout trust, feck brutes of sea trout into double figures already in it

They are great to see I can't wait for the aire to have fish like that. Iv been out for a wander today with my rod and thaught I'd stick a pic up of the fish pass Iv been around today.....

Very hit and miss! Some big fish in there but typicall aire - infested with minnows! Some nice bream, People catch a few suprises from there.

That's where I took my young nephews last year. They loved it minnow fishing. I have many memories from this area over the years. Great place!
