mancterrierman 1
i know that most kc registered terriers eg kc lakelands kerrys cairns etc aint any good for ground work anymore but can any terrier, with reason be used for ratting if introduced at the right age and all? Quote Link to post

half n' half 8
i dare say a lot of kc terriers will kill rats in small numbers but when they start to take some serious pain/exhaustion after killing larger numbers then its best left to the working bred terriers. Quote Link to post

New breed ?? Borders have been KC d for a long time now and they still do the job ..This KC crap does my head in .KC is just a registration nothing to do with breeding as such .If they are bred right no worries they do not dictate how you have to breed .Its the owners not the KC .Like I said almost anything will rat if brought up right Ive seen some strange things rat and rat well .KC regd doesnt stop them working if they are from the right stuff. No more from me I know feck all anyway Quote Link to post
T.F.Student 0
I am minded of a fella who was told he couldn't show his terrier The fella that refused the terrier asked the owner if it fought its foxes upside down...and that terriers that did this were unacceptable in the ring Quote Link to post
