98 barrel does not fit an 85??????

Hi lads.

Maybe you can help me out.

Ive got a new 177 hw85, and I want to put a .25 barrel on it.

So I mailed sws (schneider in germany) with the question if the shrouded barrel from a 98 model would fit the 85. To my suprise they said it would NOT fit. To my knowledge the 85, 95 and 98 are identical of build...... exept of barrel lenght and stock. 

Id love to convert my 85 to an 85 with a schrouded barrel and with the ultra fat .25 cal.

___Does any of you know if sws is right? --

 

If so, I have to order a .25 hw95 barrel and put it on my 85.

 

Hope one of you guys can give me some info.

But I already got it confirmed.....it fits.

So the schrouded .25 hw98 barrel is on its way to holland!!

Barrel and cocking arm are expected to arrive today.

Also included is a pivot rivet witch has to be hammered.

Steve pope also send a removable pivot rivet.

Might be smarter to wait till steve's item has arrivedd.....no hammer needed
