dogmandont 9,802
Did anyone use a coursing bred dog for foxes before the ban, I’m not talking about the odd one here and but taking them in decent numbers. Quote Link to post

Running across a 60 acre field to stop the crazy fecker before she found a spot to jump the fence onto the motorway embankment was today's stressful event. white van man 3,300
My dog has 1/4 saluki in him and I would say that’s enough for me. About an 1/8 collie and the rest grew. He has been easy to train and is clever. His recall is really good and he’s back as soon as the lamps off. Hunts well and uses his nose. I havnt seemed to bond with him as well as other dogs......maybe because he spends most his time sulking!! Or maybe it’s just me! 2 Quote Link to post

white van man 3,300
Same here chid. Just his sulking. Otherwise he’s a good honest worker. Quote Link to post
Trev70 5,185
I owned a few coursing dogs pre ban and sold a few for good money, £1000, £2000 and the best little cnut for £5000 but i wouldn't have one of them back for free for what I do these days. You can't beat the well bred one's for what they are bred for but just a bit or none in a dog for me these days. 1 Quote Link to post

The sulking/ recall /dog aggression/ nervousness don't get me wrong a good one is a pleasure to watch but like a collie saturated dog they only suit a certain owner with a certain mindset and understanding of there ways 3 Quote Link to post
