eastcoast 4,151
I've only owned one Border and it was only for a few months. Someone asked me to take care of it and as it was not my dog I did not work it. Just gave it a home. But during that time I admired the quality of it. A perfect working terrier in form. A person once attached himself to me and had a dog and bitch Border. The bitch was poor quality but the dog was superb. His name was Paddy but I called him [BANNED TEXT], What's Over There. Always that's how his mind ticked, [BANNED TEXT]. I would estimate his weight at 20lb and height at 15 inch. Too big for a Russell. But a Border is like a hob ferret squezzing into rat holes. He was nuts and useless. A liabilty. Let him to ground and that was it. Dig. Worse than that, if he did not find and surfaced he was off into the distance. But to be fair to him he spent most of his life bouncing up and down in his kennel. A terrier that I would have loved to have had as a pup and tried to bring on. Quote Link to post
