Welcome to the forum Dazzer.

The HW100 is not normally pellet fussy at all but if these guns are new, they will have a coating inside the barrel to protect them in both storage and transit which will need to be cleaned out. It is not possible to say how much gunge is in the barrel but I would do this first before giving up on any pellet except RWS as I have never had a good result with those.

I have just bought a .22 HW110k which had quite a bit of gunge in the barrel so I didn't bother testing until the cleaning was done. Both JSB derivative pellets including AA Field should do the job for you as well as H&N although I heard that Weihrauch had switched their private label pellets from H&N over to JSB. I am using JSB Jumbo Exact RS pellets at 9.43gr and they work very well in my gun.

Another pellet which has found a lot followers is Falcon Accuracy Plus again made by JSB.

When I had my HW100kt .177, the best result by far was Bisley Magnums, hard hitting and very accurate.

There are a couple of very well informed guys on here who know a hell of a lot about the HW100 who will no doubt come on and give you some sound advice but in the meantime give it a clean but remember it will take quite a few pellets to 'lead up' the barrel using the blend of lead that manufacturer is using and they do differ.

Come on Mitch and Jimmy, words of wisdom please.

Hope that helps a little.

If brand new as phil says its a must that the barrel will need a clean out

use a pull through with cloths or tissues cut into little square.s

you will be amazed at what shit will come out of the barrel

it will take a good few pull through,s mind to clean it out

and about half a tin of pellets to lead the barrel back up

you should see a big difference from the off but will get better the more you put pellets through her

and id do this with both rifles even if the other seems ok

a barrel clean will improve that one to.

as for pellets i use Jsb in all my rifles

22, JSB EXACT JUMBOS 16,85 ,,,0,52

177 JSB EXACTS 8,45 ,,,,0,42

FOR SOME REASON THE 0,41 OR O,51 IN 22 DO NOT PERFORM GOOD IN ANY OF MY RIFLES

when you buy the pellets turn the tin over and it will say ether 0,41 or 0,42

get the 0,42 or in 22 0,52

O,,,and your one lucky lad to have twoo hw100,,s

Ditto to all previous advice Daz :good:

Mitch put me onto the JSB Exact Express 4.52, 7.87 g, which i now use in ALL my .177 rifles bar the HW 100 KT .177.

The only reason i still use Air Arms Fields 4.52, 8.4g in the HW 100 KT is that i don`t want to break the results i`ve had over the years.

I find that the Falcon Accuracy Plus pellets in the HW 100 KS .22 are deadly, again a pellet recommended to me by Mitch.

Do remember Daz to put an empty magazine from the 100`s at arms length and give the loading side a light spray every 5th time it becomes empty, - the accuracy goes through the roof.

                                  Hope this helps any,
