The Department for Exiting the EU said: "It remains the Government's firm policy not to revoke Article 50. We will honour the outcome of the 2016 referendum and work to deliver an exit which benefits everyone, whether they voted to Leave or to Remain. "Revoking Article 50, and thereby remaining in the European Union, would undermine both our democracy and the trust that millions of voters have placed in Government. That's the worrying bit - I reckon we're going to get stuck with some sort of shit deal that leaves us in limbo and keeps the smug remainers happy.
steve66 3,400
we'll end up half in half out with no say in the EU ,still end up with freedom of movement and paying into it in some form , just where the EU wants us

Born Hunter 17,751
Quote STRASBOURG (Reuters) - The head of the European Council urged the European Parliament on Wednesday to be open to a long Brexit extension and not to ignore the “increasing majority” of British people who wanted to remain in the European Union. Quote “You cannot betray the six million people who signed the petition to revoke Article 50, the one million people who marched for a People’s Vote, or the increasing majority of people who want to remain in the European Union,” said Donald Tusk, who chairs summits of EU leaders, told the parliament. https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-britain-eu-strasbourg/eu-urged-to-consider-long-brexit-delay-for-british-sphinx-idUKKCN1R80O9 Is this c**t living on another f***ing planet? I hear you mate but what you have to remember is, according to the news media , the “Far Right” is actually just normal right of centre, conservative (not Tory )/libertarian politics mostly.........most normal work a day blokes would be considered “Far Right” by modern standards when in fact they are f**k all of the sort. When the news says “rise of the far right” it’s really code for “watch out, we are coming to make some more laws about what you can and can’t say, read, look at or be a supporter of” It’s normally the precursor to some “more government” 7

Perhaps some body should ask the European Court of Justest to up hold the democratic rights of the people that won the referendum.Lol. Cheers Arry
WILF 46,685
Imho, the REALLY important bit of Brexit is buried in all the nonsense this week......if they overturn the legislation to leave on Friday then you are done for. They have not made great play of it but that is the killer, make no mistake.
