Arry 22,233
Yea we only had 15 maybe the two that ran down the middle of the hedge would maybe have bolted into the net. Rabbits are colour blind any way. Only been doing for 50 years perhaps you can give me a few pointer, still willing to learn. Its the height not the angle Twat. Cheers Arry 1 2 Quote Link to post

fred90 3,257
coloured make no difference whatsoever. it was said use dark lines to prevent chewing. they will chew anything if in nets long enough. red rag to a bull is old saying they are colour blind. 2 Quote Link to post
fred90 3,257
I don't believe you have ever longnetters at night. you pick bits up off Internet in reality you couldn't catch a rabbit in a phone box with mixy. take your bells boots dog rifle and fxxck off. Quote Link to post
smithie 2,443
Colour don't matter. If rabbits trapped and there is net or line across its face it will want to chew to get free. This is why mesh size is important. 1 Quote Link to post

Or do you go home and come back later I put a net out then walk the field in the dark. If you walk it well rabbits might be balled up for 10 mins.. they will and do chew. 1 Quote Link to post
Arry 22,233
As said we had 15 two went down the middle of the hedge, Must have got it wrong the two that went down the middle would have been in the net if it was further out (yea right). You can change direction with a quick set not so easy with conventional unless you half hitch vertical poles. The bottom line is on the ground pegged under nearly every pole or hollows (may have been short of a few pegs but it is what it is and you have to manage). The net is set in a tractor track to avoid the crap having just been flailed if set in the second track they would run inside the net . Cheers Arry 1 Quote Link to post
