tomburras 2,730
I went for a quick wander earlier on for an hour with the hushpower 20. Amazing autmn colours and a bright fresh day. I started using a slab of Ely vip 32g 5s I was hoping they where going to be slower/quieter with them been a heavy load but they where just the same as the 28s iv been using. Saw 2 roe deer bouncing through the woods and had a enjoyable wander. No sighn of any rabbits tho it's been very quiet with them here this year. Here's a couple of pics... 5 Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
Great guns Tom. Give the Eley hi-flyers a go, fibre wad, not plastic. They’re quiet and effective 1 Quote Link to post

Now I know what to get next time thank you! Expand Hull subsonic 20 are even quieter, but only 23 gram and #7:1/2 shot. Good for closer range when you need to be as quiet as possible with the twenty. Hi-Flyers hit harder though. 1 Quote Link to post

I bet the pump .410 version would be great and would have done the same job today great and even quieter. I'll be hitting the rape soon and I'm sure my 20 will be great once I'm used to it. Iv been using an old black powder hammer gun for a while but the cartridges where extortionate but loud, smokey and fun! 1 Quote Link to post
Stavross 16,793
I really like the smaller loads, I shot an over/under 20 last season that belonged to one of the young lads on the shoot and loved the way you can just wip them round, I’m definitely going to look for a .410 hushy for the roost shooting 1 Quote Link to post
