New to the hunting/lamping scene

Now then guys, as a quick intro, ive only ever lamped once when i was a youngen with my sisters boyfriend, I've just been getting a lurcher pup (saluki collie grey x bull grey) only 8 weeks at the moment so a long way to go I know. I was just wondering if anyone has any sound advice on raising a working pup for the lamps, nutrition advice, equipment, anything that will help me out over the next couple of years. I'm very interested in the hunting scene, always have been, and finally got round to getting myself in a position to learn, so any advice will be taken well.

Training, grate recall , 100% stock break and alot of patience it dosnt happen over night sometimes it's 1 step forward 2 back but don't give up and the dog will reward you 10 times over as long as you put the time in

And let the dog be a pup no good giving it hell you can recall in the garden to start with just playing games with the dog rolling a ball for it and calling him back

Alkethine pipe for punishment ... don’t show it any affection as it’s a working dog ... feed it the cheapest complete food you can .... no need for any exercise  just take it out of the kennel once a week to hunt ........

Don’t get a white dog for lamping..... it’s easier to see them in the dark

It does not MAKE  a difference in colour when lamping I take a white and brown dog all the the time

Feed it well,nurture the little fecker,get it stock trained,retrieving,jumping,command orientated and chasing and catching daytime bunny,s,then get a decent lamp and make a few mistakes.
