Does anyone have any they wish to sell or can make for me to buy please? After about 4 at about 8ft each.

Moll.

I made two about a year back just that cheep black garden netting on 18" hazel Pegs with twine as the running top and bottom lines and about 50% bag worked a treat as i was digging out Rats with a terrier and the problem I had with more bag was the dog chewed the net when killing the rats but they worked well as the rats just hit them and were slowed for the terrier to catch up and catch them.

I've lost these nets now but they were cheep as chips to make.

Hi B B great looking nets just one question are they made from 10z twine (rats biting net/terrier hitting net/killing in net) mainly from a strenght point of view? any one up for a game of table~tennis with the rats! I think your terrier is judging by that photo he/she seem;s to be saying"come on ;where are they then"best regards Steve

spun poly, cos thats what i had a roll of.. if it had of been a roll of 4z nylon i'd of used that... theres a good possibility of rat nets getting trashed one way or another, so i dont think its worth worrying too much about material... just aslong as its does the job... that black dog is a little shite bag :D:yes: ....

Rabbit purse nets £3.50 on ebay with this quote

These nets are hand made by experienced net maker in mylor, cornwall, and made from nylon twine as opposed to hemp this is superior as it will not rot and does not tangle as badly, also stays flexible when dried out.

These are standard size nets

Supplied with wooden peg and brass rings.

I can supply more nets to specific requirements or different sizes, eg gap nets or different materials. contact me on 07855015550 the guy is fatmattwood

what about a roll of chicken wire

That's about what I was thinking Tomo, surely rats would climb straight up a 'long net' given more than a second to think about it. It seems a bit of a waste of effort to make a 1" stop net just to slow them down so a terrier can chop them?

get yourselves a roll of damp course that builders use, turn it on its side and support with short hazle sticks. hard as nails and the rats cant climb it.

its just a plastic membrain about 20inch wide and forms a wall that the rats run along rather that try to climb over.
