I get a picture in my head of how i want it to look and i dont give up until iv got it right just some of the rifles iv done below and one of them was an old classic hw80 atvbjimmy 5 Quote Link to post

bigmac 97kt 13,780 Posted October 17, 2018 Report Share Posted October 17, 2018 Use nitro mors to remove the old lacquer or a stronger paint stripper if you can Put it on all over with an old clean paint brush then wrap it in cling film and leave for an hour or two top tip use an old dinner knife but the top blunt edge and run it along this will remove the old lacquer DO NOT USE THE SHARP EDGE 1 Quote Link to post

LurcherLad There is a company that sells some nice custom made stocks on eBay if you don't fancy doing it yourself, they are a straight swap and come in different finish,s and styles depending on your budget Quote Link to post

LurcherLad Keep with her age LL, no custom stocks. I shoot an old classic 1984 HW 77, .177 full length that i bought from Jimmy ( Big Mac ) and i just love the restored stock etc that he did.
